We (Anna) see Dr. McMahon in B'ham and I know exactly what you're talking about going around and around in the parking deck - it can make anyone sick! I trust whatever they said - they are awesome! Mary Mac did that to me once before too. She was reading a book on the way to gymnastics and screamed just like EC did then "burp" all of over her book, car, self, etc. I had to stop at the gas station and get Sam to come meet me with towels because all I had was a jacket to clean up the mess! Oh that was not fun!!!Needless to say, we learned that she cannot read in the car (it must hereditary b/c all of Sam's family gets car sick reading)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-27755726906757991442009-01-13T10:07:00.000-06:002009-01-13T10:07:00.000-06:00if he did an echo, then you should be good to go. ...if he did an echo, then you should be good to go. i know with both seth and AC, they both had newborn issues that resolved on their own. they were seen again at 4 months. and the echo we have (and i am certain they have in bham) traces all the blood through the heart in different colors so you are safe i am sure.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-16621048462228376942009-01-13T10:23:00.000-06:002009-01-13T10:23:00.000-06:00wow, can you just go ahead and get your award for ...wow, can you just go ahead and get your award for mother of the year! that is nuts! glad EC is okay. i have no ideas to help you on the smell. maybe febreeze? and glad wilson's appt went well too. you need to go have a pedicure or massage or something!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-7488673549341592292009-01-13T10:44:00.000-06:002009-01-13T10:44:00.000-06:00You are a trooper for being able to get through an...You are a trooper for being able to get through any disaster your children throw your way. <br>Keep up the good work!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-76909641867401643712009-01-13T10:47:00.000-06:002009-01-13T10:47:00.000-06:00We've had our "vomit in the car" epi...We've had our "vomit in the car" episdodes too. I suggest sprinkling baking soda all over the carpet and then vacuuming it up... hopefully it will grab that oh so nasty vomit smell!! Can you keep the windows cracked for a couple days too? Also, I've sprayed the carseats and floors with Oust Surface & Air Sanitizer... there's one that's called "Clean Scent" and it smells like fresh laundry... I love it. Not too "lysol-y" smelling!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-51725887063235203362009-01-13T14:05:00.000-06:002009-01-13T14:05:00.000-06:00Oh no!!! EK did that throw up thing all over her carseat this past summer. It was pretty hard to get the smell out and every once in awhile I SILL get a whiff. Anyway, we rolled the windows down and let it air out ALL day in the sun. You could try cleaning up the carpet with a vinegar and water solution...that is what we did on the carseat and it seemed to work. <br><br>As far as the VSD goes, I would trust the doctors. Those Echo/ultrasounds are pretty accurate. Samuel had a VSD and we could always see it on the echo ultrasound. They are pretty clear and usually don't miss a thing. It is weird though that they think they are hearing something just because he is so skinny.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-50569569956260081822009-01-13T18:42:00.000-06:002009-01-13T18:42:00.000-06:00We've had the throw up incident in the car a few t...We've had the throw up incident in the car a few times...it's amazing how much it smells up the whole car. We used Fantastick OxyPower on the seatbelt. That seemed to help. We also put baking soda in a cup and left it in the car for a while. It deodorizes like magic. :) Hope it goes away soon!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-85565322741993863662009-01-13T21:33:00.000-06:002009-01-13T21:33:00.000-06:00I just stumbled upon your blog, which by the way i...I just stumbled upon your blog, which by the way is too cute...but hate to break it to you, not sure if that smell ever goes away..I delt with the same issue in December...I have leather seats..it only went on them...still every now and then get a whiff of it..yuk! but if you get any good suggestions, would love to know them! :) happy cleaning!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-21154308015715703082009-01-14T07:52:00.000-06:002009-01-14T07:52:00.000-06:00hey..not really sure how i found your blog other t...hey..not really sure how i found your blog other than, a friend of a friend, of a friend! strange enough, we went through the same stuff with davis, he had to go see a pediatric cardiologist last october, we were going to the same one in b'ham, but i was nervous nelly worried, our pediatrician was able to get me in with one in montgomery a lot faster..everything turned out just fine, a innocent murmur & going to watch it as he grows! anyhoo, love to embroider, i do that too...ironic, huh??? we need to share ideas!! :) happy wednesday!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922447744333153841.post-84009624753484455992009-01-14T08:54:00.000-06:002009-01-14T08:54:00.000-06:00Anna is doing great. God is great and wonderful and has performed a miracle right before our eyes - we were facing certain surgery when she was an infant and now her little body has adapted to her heart condition and you would never now the difference! We just continue to pray that her body will continue this and we never have to have surgery! I need to do an update on our blog b/c several people have asked about her. Also, yes, I got a catalog and plan on ordering at least one thing - we are on a major budget this year!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
