Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Take a look around today (if you live in the southern USA) - have you noticed God's creation is looking a little GREENER???? I have and it's beautiful!!!!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

A day early so those who have forgotten will remember to wear green so you won't get pinched. Does anyone know the history behind that anyways?

A little bit of "Easter" is appearing and then disappearing around here!!!!

A fun time was had in our basement this afternoon - we didn't have the rainy day blues around here, although I was pretty sad when my tennis lesson was canceled because of the wet courts - you mean 4 days of rain doesn't dry in 4 hours????
This was one the best purchases "Santa" has ever made!!!!

Our attempt at pictures before church on Sunday - obviously mornings aren't the best time for photo ops!!!!

May God bless you today, so you can be a blessing to others.

Annie and Friends

****Keep in mind that I always forget that blogger reverses the order of the pictures when they upload, so the days' events go from last to first.....

This morning we headed to Barnes and Noble for a book fair supporting the Children's Theatre group here in town. "Annie" is the upcoming production and my neice, Chandler, is an orphan. We met Mary Alice and her mom Ashley there and had a great time watching the orphans and Annie perform a few pieces. Mary Alice came home with us and the girls had a great time acting out the songs, particularly "Tomorrow" and "It's a Hard Knock Life" - I have now heard these songs sung 563, 897 times by my precious daughter - I'll be dreaming these songs tonight!!! The girls (I) built a tent and they enjoyed a picnic and watching the movie Annie (and so did I- brought back lots of memories, as that was my favorite movie as a child)!!!!!

Do you get how Mary Alice was trying to pull in the red hair???

My neice, Chandler, is in between Mary Alice and Emma Claire

Let's Read!!!!

In honor of Read Across America Week this past week - here are Wilson and Emma Claire after church on Wednesday night going through their "loot" of library finds!!!!

"Classic" Emma Claire - looking over the top of her glasses!!!

I loved these next shots - this is our sweet dog, Daisy. She has just turned 9 years old and is the best dog anyone could ask for. She barks alot when strangers come around, but other than that, she is great! She has always been so loving and affectionate with all the children and they love her!

Daisy returning the kiss! How sweet is that?

Hope you all have a wonderfull weekend - we're expecting ALOT of rain Friday and Saturday, so we will be inside WAY TOO MUCH!

An independent prayer

The other day as I was tucking Emma Claire in for her afternoon nap, I sang with her Jesus Loves Me and Oh How I Love Jesus and then I told her we were going to pray. She answered with "mommy, I want you to go out of here... I want to pray by myself." My first reaction was HURT - How dare she ask me to "get out of here" and then I realized that God is working in her heart to become more and more independent and seek God herself. I closed the door and tried to listen to hear her pray, but the white noise maker was too loud and I couldn't hear anything. She may not have even prayed out loud, she may have prayed in her head, b/c we have had some talks lately about how God is always with us and knows our heart and our thoughts. And if you have ever met Emma Claire, you know this is SO.EMMA.CLAIRE - Miss Independent - always has been. I just pray that God will continue to work in her life and keep the independent streaks working for good.

A fun clean up!

Wilson and Henderson had a fun time this week getting one-on-one baths in the kitchen sink - Emma Claire saw these pictures last night and emphatically stated that SHE was getting a bath in the sink tomorrow - I didn't have the heart to tell her she was too big - we'll try it!

Washing a tea cup - multitasking is what I like to call it!!!!

See those frozen pork chops tightly sealed in the package on the right????
Well, I turned around for a minute to put something up and when I looked back the pork chops were GONE - "Mr. Can get into anything" had opened up the packages and let the pork chops have a bath with him - I was completely and utterly disgusted - I don't even wash my meat before cooking it b/c I am such a germ-a-phobe when it comes to my kitchen sink - I think all washing does is just covers your sink with germs - that's why we cook meat after all- right??? to kill the germs!!!!! So needless to say, the sink was emptied quickly and both it and Wilson got a good cleaning.

Then the next day this little guy made a good mess....

So into the sink he went - have I mentioned he likes to stand?????
I promise I was in arms reach of him the WHOLE time - and I would have sacrificed my camera for him - PROMISE!!!!!

Nothing like drinking some good ole bath water - thank goodness I had just cleaned that sink REALLY good!!!!

ENOUGH with the pictures MOMMY!!!!!

Have a great Wednesday!!!!

Wildcat Soccer!!!!

Emma Claire is on the cutest soccer team in this country and not only are they cute, they're GOOD!!!! They played a team of 3 boys and they kicked their bu***!!!!(That's a bad word in our house) Anyways, really, if we were keeping score, it would easily have been 23-0. The ball only made it down to the opponents side of the field twice. Our girls rocked and looked good doing it if I say so myself!!!! These are Emma Claire's closest friends and the very reason we are sending her on to kindergarten in the fall despite her not turning 5 until August 27th. It is the best class of girls and we are in church with 4 out of the 6 and the other two come from AWESOME families!!!! We are so blessed to have such great friends surrounding us!

Beware of picture overload - I took 233 pictures today, so really you're only seeing a few!!!!!

Emma Claire and her cousin Patton, he was on this team of girls last year - the only boy - his mom thought better this year and requested boys!!!!

Couldn't they pass as twins????

Cousins Wilson and Mills hanging out on the sidelines.

Bonding for life!

Crazy girl!

Almost walking - standing all.the.time!!!!!
