Spring Breaking It!!! Part 2

We are home now, and back to reality - and 40 degree weather! The upside is that it's supposed to be 30 degrees warmer TOMORROW!!!!! The crazy SOUTH!!!!!

You may wonder what is going on in the following picture (and YES, it's WAY overexposed - I was sick when I realized I had my ISO set on 1600 from taking indoor pool shots) This was the best one - they are making a human roller coaster down the sand - it was hilarious - all 15 children were involved - and we won't even think about where the sand ended up!!!! They slid on their bottoms all the way down the hill towards the water, then ran around and did it again and again and again!!!! Just shows you that kids these days can still have fun without lots of toys and electronics!!!!

Here they are for a group shot - again overexposed - and as soon as they finished they all hightailed it up the hill to begin sliding again!!!!

Then they all got brave and tested the 60 degree waters!!!!

I'm COLD just looking at it - it was 72 degrees outside, but that is NO WHERE NEAR hot enough for me to get in the ocean - call me a wimp!!!!!

Can you just FEEL it???? The simple joys!!!!

The freckles are coming out again!!!!

I couldn't believe Wilson was laying still enough for them to put sand on him - and on his FACE!!!!! Believe me, when he decided to get up, it was no longer fun and games - we headed to the shower to try and get it out of his eyes!!!!

Oh Beach! I miss you and hope to see you soon!!!!

Spring Breakin' It!!!!

We are having a great time at the beach - just moms and children!!! It's been a little chilly, but thankfully we have an indoor pool that they are enjoying while the moms sit in the "steam room" and let our eyes burn with the chlorine fumes - it's all good!!!!

We visited The Red Bar - all 12 adults and 26 children - that place will NEVER be the same!!!!

Then we enjoyed a day on the beach - we kept thinking the sun would stay out, but it never did for long - it was pretty COLD!!!!

But you can handle cold when all your friends are with you, right????

The sun did come out for a little while and they all got brave!!!!

Then the monster storm cloud arrived and we took to the room and headed to Margaritaville! The Pirate on stilts came out and made balloons!!!!

I'm looking outside right now and it's a beautiful sunshiny day - BEACH, here we come!!!!!!

Thirty

My 30th Birthday was February 24th - it came and went with not much fanfare (exactly how I like it). It fell on a Wednesday - work day, school day, dance and church day - not much out of the ordinary- except Will did surprise me with a cake at our church dinner!!!! Facebook made it exciting too- isn't it fun to receive all those birthday wishes in your inbox from people that you haven't heard from in years???? So, now I'm thirty, an official ADULT - b/c really, 18 does NOT make you an adult and apparently neither does having 3 children - b/c now I REALLY feel OLD!!!! But, being the youngest of my group of friends, I'm still the "baby". So last night, a small group of us got together at the prompting of my sweet friend Ashley and we celebrated!!!! She even got me this FABULOUS cake!!!!! She's pretty AWESOME!!!!!

Here are those that could make it on a busy Thursday night right before Spring Break - thanks for taking the time to celebrate with me!!!! Ya'll are the best friends EVER!!!!!

So in honor of 30, I'm going to go for 30 things I LOVE! Here goes!!!!

1. God - and I'm falling more and more in love with Him and learning more everyday.

2. Will - loving, faithful, sacrificial husband he is - I couldn't ask for anything more, he's AMAZING!!!!!

14. Blogging - wish I was more creative and a better writer, but it is a fun way to document our lives!!!!

15. Being outside - LOVE the sunshine and playing outside and the beach and the lake and a wide open field to run and play in

16. Animals - big, small - not bugs and insects or reptiles, but sweet, furry ANIMALS!!!!

Wanna Play?

Last Saturday, my sister and I took the children to visit my parents for the day. We met at a local park and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather!!!!

Pure Joy!!!!

We had planned to go to a different park, one with grass and a rubber floor. It was closed for construction and we ended up at this ROCK playground - all my children had on were crocs and flip flops!!!!!

So Bare feet they went!!!!

Enjoy this warmer weather - bask in it - enjoy the simple moments!!!!!
