This little love bug had his 6 month check up Monday - wow how time has flown by! He was great, though he had a little tooo much fun eating the crackly exam table paper - he LOVED It! One thing though - he's now off the charts in weight - below 0 that is - minus 5% to be exact. What is it with my boys? He is a great eater! Do I see growth hormone in our future - hopefully not, but I sure don't want my 2 boys to be 5 feet tall and 100 pounds when they are full-grown. Here are his stats:
Weight: 13# 9 oz (Wilson was 13# 8 oz at this point) {-5%}
Height: 25 1/2 " {20%} YEA!!!!!
Head: 17 1/8" {40%} YEA!!! YEA!!!!
So he does look a little better than Wilson in the height and head areas, but the weight, well what more can I do? He EATS great! Thankfully our Dr. just laughed and said it must be genetics - no more Drs. in B'ham or surgery or tests at this point- thank you God! He's healthy, vibrant and happy - sitting up like a champ and wanting to crawl SO bad! I'm in for it when he does begin getting around! Thanks be to God for healthy, active children.
Emma Claire and I had our dental appointments yesterday. You know how you are supposed to go every 6 months to the dentist? Well, due to having to cancel my last appointment b/c I had double booked it with Wilson's GI appointment (wasn't that sacrificial of me?) it had been 2 YEARS since I had been to the dentist -- and the ironic thing is, my dentist is my brother-in-law. Yes, I see the guy every couple of days, our children are together nearly EVERY day, and it's been 2 years! Well, thankfully we both checked out VERY good - no cavity bugs here! Emma Claire was a champ - she even got to control the "sucking duck" which sucked all the water out of my mouth - problem was, she had a little too much fun and I felt like my mouth was the desert when we got through. FUN TIMES!!!!

Hey Kelly!
Great to find you! I think I found you before, but I'm going to try to put you on my list so I can keep up with you!
Take care and glad to hear about those check ups. My boys are big guys; our Dr. even suggested that Owen have water instead of juice for afternoon snack- since he's a 47 pound 3 year old!
Great to see your precious kiddos!

Yay for being on the charts in Height & Head! He looks perfect to me, no worries! And YAY for no cavities! Can't wait to see y'all soon!
suI love to see his stats! JM went Monday for his 4 month check up... he was 16 lbs even {75%} and 26 inches {90th}... which is funny because neither of us are tall... so it should be interesting! Mine start to slow down once they start walking... which is usually around 15 months! We'll see. I love to see him sitting up like such a big boy!! It's great when they can start sitting!!
So cute! You are cracking me up with stats! I am so glad you don't have to do anything further with that now. :)
you should try to incorporate thankful thursdays into your blog. it's good a few days after a blue monday post!
Wow! It was so good to hear from you and I can't believe you have three kids. We have come a long way haven't we!! They are absolutely beautiful and you look as great and in shape as you were in high school. How do you do it?? I am so glad to know about your blog and will definitely be checking in. Thanks for leaving your comment. Isn't this blog thing great- I love reconnecting with so many people. Did you know they tried to plan a 10 year reunion and not enough people showed interest? I think they have pushed it back to next April. Hopefully, we can get a better turn out this time. It would be so much fun to see everyone. Kate was born on April 2 so our babies are EXACTLY one month apart!! How fun. They really are precious and I'm so glad to get to see them. Take care!!
