Tennis

Well, I have decided to take up tennis. I used to play alot - 15 years ago, and I was decent - 15 years ago. I loved playing, but in the 9th grade I had to make a choice. Tennis or softball.... it was a REALLY hard choice....but ALL my friends were playing softball, so really not that hard of a choice after all and it was a good choice... I made some of the best friends of my life on the softball field...and you all read this blog - I love you all... But, NOW - boy do I wish I had kept playing. I'm participating in a clinic tomorrow morning and in March I'm beginning a doubles league with one of my friends... she has no idea what she's getting into.
Maybe pretty soon I'll look like this... or NOT
I'm sure within a month I'll have one of these... or NOT!!!!

But it will be fun and I'll enjoy the exercise and the social aspect of it....did I mention it's been 15 years since I picked up a racket???? Let's just pray I can make contact with the ball - I think that's something you say in softball, not tennis, but really, let's just hope I can make contact and hit it OVER the net. I'll let you know how it goes.

You are so stinkin' athletic! You could pick up a botchee on the first try. I'm sure of it!
And I'm glad you stuck with softball. We made it into a non-buchy sport, didn't we? I keep trying to explain to people that REALLY- we were good, but we weren't like THAT! ha! I wish we could have played together in high school! That would have been fun!
Good luck!

If I can play, having never played as a kid, you can definitely do it. Have fun! MAYBE if we end up in T-town one day, I can join the league with you! Have a good weekend sis. Love you.

Sounds fun! Keep us posted on how you like it...because I already know you'll be great at it. And I am a little biased towards softball, but I'm so glad you picked it otherwise there would have been no "Little Bit" getting the first hit of just about every game we played in! You were so stinkin' fast!! I miss us all hanging out together, but so glad we can keep up like this! We just need to get Anne Turner and Krissy blogging and it will be perfect!

sounds like fun! i love to play but don't have much opportunity and am not that great anyway. the last time i played, i was 7 months pregnant with grady?! needless to say, that game didn't last long:). i'm sure you will be awesome. just don't grunt every time you hit the ball! **thanks for your comments for the triplets. i appreciate you praying for them too!

You sound like me. I played a lot of tennis until I had to decide between tennis or cheerleading. Obviously, I chose the latter, but it did pay for my college! I started playing again several years ago and have so much fun! Maybe we can play sometime!
