On Saturday, while these 2 were at their 5 1/2 hour rehearsal, my SIL, Ellen, my MIL, Di Anna and I decided to enjoy the beautiful fall day and took the 5 boys to the FAIR!!!!
Henderson satyed in his stroller nearly the entire time - I commented that it was a little odd that he was being SO GOOD! Well, about 3 hours later, when he started coughing in my car, right after I put him, and then threw up, BIG TIME, 3 times in a row in his car seat, I knew why! Did I mention that Will was out of town? And I had just picked up Emma Claire from her practice and that I still had to take them all home and bathe them and get them to bed and - uhhhhhgggg....I was SUPPOSED to be the lead character in the drama for our children's church the next morning.....I couldn't exactly leave Henderson home by himself, nor could I take him to church.....so I ran home, got my script and ran it by Ellen's house (with Henderson STILL strapped in his vomit-covered car seat) (Ellen also happened to be home by herself with all 4 children all weekend - the guys were at the KY vs. AL game). She willingly took on the roles, not that she had much other choice (well, I guess she could have kept my vomit-laden child, but she chose the better!) Henderson has kept a croupy cough, which is what I think led to the vomiting, but otherwise has been great!
Let me just tell you about his little roller coaster - if you go to this fair, DO NOT PUT YOUR YOUNG CHILD ON THIS!!!! It is EXTREMELY rough and jerky and it lasted, no kidding, 8 minutes - the guy wouldn't stop it! Ellen laughed and said, "he's making it last forever so no child in their right mind will ask to get on it ever again!"
