Sunday night was Emma Claire's spring choir program at church (and my precious 3 year olds that I teach) and ALSO the Dayschool's end of the year program and Graduation. They seem to always fall on the same night, at the same time. Emma Claire's group, the 4 year olds, sang second at church, so we let her sing, then raced over to the school to try to catch the program there.
We ended up missing Emma Claire's class because they sang first in order to get dressed in their cap and gowns for graduation. As we pulled up, Wilson's class was lining up to walk in the sanctuary to sing. I ran down the hall with him and literally threw him crying in his teacher's arms. They walked up on stage and this is what Wilson did the entire time, through Jesus Loves Me and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
(Notice his Jon-Jon is still bunched up from me holding him like a football running down the hall)
He did take a peek to see what all the clapping was about.

Usually Wilson LOVES being on stage and "performing", but I think he was a little afraid of me running down the hall with him and catapulting him into his teachers' arms, whom he hadn't seen in over a week since we were at the beach.
Emma Claire made it down the aisle and even got to sing 2 more songs!!!!!
They all started giggling everytime someone's name was called to receive their "diploma" - I guess when one starts something, they all follow suit!!!!

Congrats to EC! I am totally cracking up at the picture of Wilson crying with the little boy next to him looking at him like, "Come on, man, I am trying to sing here." too funny
How adorable are those caps and gowns?
One of these days, they will look back and laugh at these. I love the photo of the little boy checking Wilson out too. And of Henderson doing the backwards bend to get down. Boy, do I remember that move well. Mine stayed in that position.
What a fun night. I LOVE when they do performances like this...singing or crying. It's so much fun to watch.

P.S. Did you take the sun home with you from the beach? It's cloudy and freezing here! It's like we're on a beach in Maine.
I cannot believe she is starting kindergarten! I have mixed feelings about MM not starting this year, but that's just how the cookie crumbles! In one way, I wish she was going to be with the group with EC, but then on the other hand, I'm not ready for her to be that old yet (even though she really is)! Oh well, we'll be there next year!
